It is yellow-ish and gooey/sticky (NOT chunky), and it smells like cheese, more like rotten cheese. its been happening for a couple weeks now. i am clean down there. i do not douche. i am not a virgin. i really have no symptoms besides a lot of that discharge (more than a normal amount, i have been wearing panty liners) and the smell of it. NO itching or burning. NO swollen-ness. nothing at all. what could this be?<br />

<p><strong>Women&#8217;s Health Issue:?</strong><br />
 <i>Lately, I&#8217;ve been having this thick, stringy, mucous-like discharge. It&#8217;s mainly odourless but very annoying. I am on the pill continuously for another condition, so I don&#8217;t believe it&#8217;s ovulation. I am also sexually active, but I was sexually active long before this problem started (with the same person who I know has no STD&#8217;s). I was on antibiotics for about 2 months and that caused me to have some yeast infections that have never completely gone away. One day I&#8217;ll wake up and feel fine and itch free (yet the mucous is still there) but the next day I&#8217;ll wake up feeling painfully uncomfortable. I&#8217;ve already used a prescription treatment. This problem seems to worsen for a few days after sexual contact of any sort. I also take one single antibiotic after sex to make sure I don&#8217;t get a bladder infection. Can anyone offer any advice (other than &#8220;See your doctor&#8221; because that is not an option for at least a few more weeks). Thanks!<br />

<p><i>Suggestion by Joseph</i><br/>If the mucous discharge is odorless except of it being annoying nothing is actually wrong with you. Some of the b/c pills do cause this mucous like discharge I am sure you know that. Try not washing yourself with fragrant soap to often down there, also sugar is said to help the bacteria multiply, so maybe cut on sugars. Have you ever checked if you have Candida? (just Google candida and you will see what I mean) I do not have any easy solution for you, unfortunately we women do suffer a lot from various kinds of discharge all our lives. I won&#8217;t say &#8220;see your doctor&#8221; but when you see him or her, ask for more info what can be done to help you if not cure at least make things a bit easier.</p>

<p><strong>Help! Question about, ahem, women&#8217;s health issue&#8230;Please read all the gory details or don&#8217;t respond?</strong><br />
 <i>Well, I just got off my period today or last night, and I always wear a tampon and a pantyliner during those days.  Anyway, I took my final pantyliner off today and got in the shower.  As I was washing down there, I noticed a small irritated bump just below my vagina.  It felt almost raw, if that makes sense (not extremely painful, not itchy persay, but like..sensitive).  I put some Neosporin on the whole area, because it was the only ointment I had.  Well, within the next few hours the whole area got red and itchy and the vaginal opening appears swollen but pink.</p>
<p>I am wondering if this could all be a reaction to the pantyliners/Neosporin (I tend to be very sensitive.. I cannot use latex condoms or have intercourse for a long time or I swell up immensely).  DOES THIS SEEM POSSIBLE? There is always a chance it is an STD or bacterial vaginosis or something&#8230; I don&#8217;t know.  What does it sound like to you?  DON&#8217;T ANSWER IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA.  THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER.<br />

<p><i>Suggestion by heart breaker</i><br/>It could be a reaction to your pantyliner or tampon. I&#8217;m sensitive as well (no latex, gentle sex) and had recurring irritation down there a couple years ago that only cleared up after switching to organic/unbleached feminine products. The first occurrence was the worst and started immediately after I removed my last tampon&#8230;though I recall it being more of a generalized swelling/itching than an actual bump. It&#8217;s always best to visit the doc in situations like this&#8230;</p>
<p><i>Suggestion by WMR30</i><br/>Are you prone to boils? that&#8217;s what it sounds like to me. If you apply warm wet compresses it should rupture, and heal up. They tend to pop up in warm places where skin touches skin.</p>
<p><i>Suggestion by nikkijean7072</i><br/>It sounds like the irritation you noticed in the shower was probable from the pantyliners. They can rub you and cause little sore spots. If you swelled up after you put the neosporin on you definitely had a reaction to it!!! That area is very sensitive&#8230; wash it off give it 24 hours if its not getting better then go to the Dr&#8230; You can take some Benadryl to help with an allergic reaction.</p>
<p><i>Suggestion by yourstruely</i><br/>sounds like you had an allergic reaction to something.  Was the pantyliner scented?  Sometimes that will cause irritation to some people.  Also it could be a bacterial infection..any discharge that smells??? That is a sign of an STD or bad infection.  There are also yeast infections that can occur, and this can cause itchiness and swollen of the vagina.  Also have you started to use any new laundry detergent or new body soap?? This can also cause irritation.  Just back track and figure out what you used and you can probably figure it out.  If irritation persist call you doc and give her symptoms over the phone and they can decided if it is serious enough to see you, or just call you in something for relief&#8230;.hope this helps. <p>This could be iced bottled tea, or preferably brewed tea. </p>
<p>I am a 22 year old male looking to have a healthier lifestyle. I am on the abs diet (which is great), take centrium vitamins (daily) but am going to convert to mens one a day soon. I just want to become overall healthier so is tea very good for health and which one should i buy?</p>

 <i>hello all, i need some help. 6 months ago i broke up with a boy who id been with nearly three years. we are both 18 and have lost our virginity together ect. i admit i was absolutely in love with him, we went away together, alsorts, i was so content with him. i also lost one of my parents a year ago and am finding this super hard. the other things is i have my final exams this week before i go to university in september, and i am with him each day. its difficult because the breakup wasnt over anything bad, we were just going to have a break, then other people got involved in bitching and causing trouble and a few drunken arguements left us without hope. ive spoken to him many times about getting back together, but he doesnt even want to be frineds, he said half of it is due to me going to university. i cannot move on. i sometimes feel like im over the breakup- but then we argue about it. i leave school in two weeks, we dont have eachohter on facebook so were going to lose all forms of communication. i already tried the no contact rule, we even flirted a little, i tried neatening up my image and alsorts. i also think i messed it up when i went out with another lad for two weeks, but i told my ex i dumped this lad as i wasnt over him. the hardest tihng is a waited 4 months before trying to date this lad, whereas he was texting another girl the next day so we both a little bit lost, but i dont get what it is i did wrong he doesnt seem to think about god times or anything he always says he doesnt care and i just feel like i need to see him realizing what we had. ive been through so much, i would do anything to have him back, but id also do anything to get over him. i cant stop remembering how happy we was on holiday and how intimate and lovely we were. i no i am young, i have life ahead of me, but its this heartbreak thats stopping my future. please help <img src='http://www.healthandfitnessarticle.info/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> xx</p>

<p>1. Realize That It&#8217;s Over<br />
The biggest breakup mistake you can make? Pretending that it didn&#8217;t happen. You broke up for a good reason, and getting back together isn&#8217;t an option. (Maybe it will be in a couple of years, when things have changed, but not now.) Until you accept this, you can&#8217;t start healing.</p>

<p>4. Keep Yourself Busy<br />
The worst way to get over an ex is to sit in your room all alone. Hang out with your friends and family, play some sports, hit the gym or dig into your favorite hobbies. It&#8217;ll make you feel good and get your mind off of the breakup.</p>
<p>5. Force Yourself to Snap Out of It<br />
After the initial loss, you won&#8217;t be thinking about your ex nonstop like you used to, but you might find your thoughts trailing back to your breakup. Push those sad thoughts of your head and replace them with happy ones. There&#8217;s no use dwelling on all the sad stuff forever.</p>
<p>6. Make a Change<br />
Breakups can be good excuses for fresh starts. Make a fun change: give yourself a makeover, get into a new hobby, join a new after-school activity or redecorate your room. It&#8217;ll make you feel happy and give you a big burst of confidence.</p>
<p>7. Let Time Go By<br />
Time really does heal all wounds. The pain you&#8217;re feeling now won&#8217;t last forever, even if it feels like it will. So hang in there &#8211; it&#8217;ll get easier. I promise.</p>

 <i>I&#8217;m only 12 and guess what? I somehow stumbled upon pictures of girls with big, puffy hair when looking for a certain picture of these poodles with dyed fur (figures!). I clicked on the picture I liked and it took me to a link. &#8220;Scene&#8221; girls. All about them, all about IT in general.<br />
I am not some skinny &#8220;stick figure&#8221;. I have had my period for a year or so now, so I obviously have a &#8220;matured&#8221; teenager-like body. I am skinny, but I still have meat on me. It also contains dairy products like cheese, wine, fish and red meat, though in smaller amount compared to the first group mentioned earlier. There are no specific nuts or grains to go for. Just include more in-season whole products (not highly processed types with lots of additives, salt and what have you) you can find into your diet. </p>
<p>According to studies, the Mediterranean diet has anti-inflammatory and anti-hypertensive effects. An adaptation of the Mediterranean diet is the anti-inflammatory diet which you can find out more from the second link below.</p>

<p><i>Suggestion by Jesusfreak</i><br/>It&#8217;s best to call the Linksys and they can help you get the Internet working again. I called and they guided me through everything. It&#8217;s something that you have to call and do on the phone. If you don&#8217;t know the number, call the local Internet connection and then they should be able to give you the number to Linksys. I wouldn&#8217;t know the password but maybe the person on the phone can help. The number that I called is 1800-326-7114. Good luck.</p>

 <i>ok, so I think yahoo answers is a good thing but to be honest I am really sick of seeing people post the same type of questions, it doesn&#8217;t seem like people do their own research. like how in womens health you have 5 million girls ask- &#8220;when will i get my period, btw im 10!&#8221;, or you have the girls that are like &#8220;how do i get my cramps to start or stop&#8221;. or the best ones are when girls are like &#8220;omg i slept with this guy, we used a condom and im on BC but im afraid i am pregnant&#8221; (doh you ******* idiots, if your that worried about getting pregnant then dont have sex!) or the girls that are like &#8220;i had sex last night and now i think im pregnant, i feel sick and so on&#8221; there is no way you can tell you are pregnant one day after fertilization! and I HATE the questions where the 13-15 year old girls are like, i want to have a baby SO BAD! </p>
<p>Ok girls, here it is, periods are different for every girl/woman. Some girls(if they are heavier set) will have bad cramps, heavy periods. Petite/skinny girls, or girls that work out will have lighter periods and less cramping. Periods can last for 3 days up until 7days. Sometimes periods start last two days then stop then start again but are very light (its normal its fine stop freaking out) yes sometimes you can have periods twice a month. also girls, discharge is NORMAL it is your vagina cleaning itself. yes girls when you have sex if you dont clean out the excess discharge in your vagina it will come out on the guys junk. if you dont want clumpy white goo on his junk, then what you should do is clean out your vag! douching is bad, dont use soap. girls if you leave soap down there or if you douche too much or if you wipe from back to front&#8230; you CAN get yeast infections! </p>
<p>Girls that are in their teens, stfu no one wants to have babies with you, guys just want to **** you then leave you most of the time. you don&#8217;t need a kid what you need is intense therapy. seriously live your life, go have fun and be a kid. Wait to have kids till you are old enough and mature enough to care for a child and most of all be able to support yourself before you try to support a child, don&#8217;t ruin a babys life because you cant take care of yourself.</p>
<p>Also, guys and girls, just because you lose your virginity or take a girls virginity and her &#8220;cherry&#8221; doesnt pop does not mean the girl is lying about being a virgin! cherrys can pop from riding a horse or being very active in sports and so on!</p>
<p>Girls, if you are on BC or starting it for the first time, USE IT AS DIRECTED! don&#8217;t try to speed up the process by startin it early or whatever.. just take it how you are told.</p>

Go to school, be healthy, just be a kid, have fun, hang out with friends, dont get in trouble, stop worrying about when your period will start or how big your boobs/penis are. </p>

 <i>Putting pregnancy aside, do woman really have more health problems than men? Or is it just that woman&#8217;s health issues get more press?</p>
<p>I only ask as most of the health products that you see advertised, and most of the health magazines, are aimed at woman. And because you always see people talking about woman&#8217;s health on the TV.</p>
<p>Do men actually have a similar number of problems but they aren&#8217;t as profitable for companies to deal with, or don&#8217;t they get concerned about them as much? Do men just use woman&#8217;s health products? Or are they actually healthier?<br />
I&#8217;ve noticed that pretty much all &#8220;stomach medicine&#8221; is aimed at women. Anti bloating, anti gas, laxatives, anti diarrhea, and so on.</p>
<p>Do men not suffer from any of these problems, do they suffer but not treat them, or do they just sneak their wives medicine?<br />

But it&#8217;s also good marketing to make something that is said to be special and unique to a certain group, like women. Meanwhile, men tend to take longer to go to the doctor than women when sick, because doing so implies weakness. So medical things marketed to them tend not to do well, unless it&#8217;s about better sex performance.</p>

 <i>So im 19 years old and have been having some health issues lately. It started off a week or so ago when i was about to have sex with my girlfriend and i could not maintain an erection. From there my testicles began to become sore. I was diagnosed with epididtymitis, but then they decided that was incorrect. Now the testicle pain has subsided somewhat and i woke up yesterday morning with a headache localized in the back of my head and i am having blurred vison. I get night sweats and when i wake up i do not have an erection.</p>
<p>Other things about me, the doctor said my testicles felt like a healthy pair, i am very active and eat a mainly veggie diet. There is no pain or discomfort when i urinate, no blood either. I am experiencing an overall body soreness that is fairly mild. So any ideas?<br />
I am in no way looking for a diagnosis, i was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of anything like this. Also, my doctors said their diagnosis of epiditymitis was incorrect, they said these symptoms should subside, but they have not been&#8230;<br />

1) diet cut down to about 1500 calories alongside workout and excercise, lots of protein/water<br />
2) workout daily or day to recover? (if day to recover should i up my work rate on workout days so as to compensate for &#8221;skipping&#8221; a day?)<br />
3) is fruit alright to eat seeming as it is high in sugars?<br />
4) eat 4 small meals a day (small= sandwich and piece of fruit) &#038; a dinner?<br />
5) how to know when you have hit a plateu?<br />
6) conditioning: i think i have been doing this wrong basically i have been beating myself up for a minute with rapid punches. will this strengthen my abs?</p>

<p><i>Suggestion by Mistermoonpie</i><br/>Eating fruit isn&#8217;t bad at all, as long as you are active. Unlike the sugars found in junk food like candy, the sugars in fruit are natural and are able to be processed 100% into energy, and are thus not stored in your body as fat. </p>
<p>You will know you have hit a plateau when you keep on a steady workout regimen, but are no longer getting stonger or bigger. At that point, you need to mix up your training routine to confuse your muscles into tearing themselves down and building up again.</p>
<p>Beating yourself up with punches won&#8217;t necessarily make your abs that much stronger, but it will make them tougher. This is more important if you are training to be an MMA fighter or the like.</p>
<p>If you want to develop your abs, the most important thing is a healthy low fat/low carb diet, and plenty of cardio such as running, biking, swimming, etc.</p>

<p><i>Suggestion by Matt</i><br/>1) That&#8217;s a perfect calorie count assuming you are in the average height/weight category. Where your calories come from, however, plays a role in how your body uses them.<br />
2) I would recommend either doing an hour of cardio on the day that you skip, or doing completely different body parts on consecutive days. For example, if you were to do chest and triceps one day, consider doing legs or even a day solely dedicated to abs the following.<br />
3) This goes back to question #1. Fruit is absolutely alright. Despite what some may say, some sugar is essential in a daily diet. It is in fact unhealth to not eat any sugar. The important thing is both eating all sugar-containing foods as early in the day as possible and  limiting refined sugars like high-fructose corn syrup, found in candies and soda. Things like oranges (not orange juice) and apples provide a quick fix for the mid-day munchies, and your body can metabolize them very well.<br />
4) Good, do not forget about dark vegetables like spinach or broccoli. A piece of grilled chicken with some garlic roasted broccoli is an ideal dinner. High protein, low carbs. Recognize that you going to need something sweet at night and get some sugar-free popsicles.<br />
5) That&#8217;s the last thing you should think about. There is always room for improvement. Know that you are capable of change and it will come.<br />
6) That&#8217;s a great way to cut up your chest, but not the best thing for abs. Things like hanging knee raises, standard sit-ups on a ball, reverse crunches with a ball, bicycles, static holds, and lastly cardio cardio cardio will get you what you are looking for. </p>
<p>Sounds like you know enough and are motivated enough to reach your goals. Hopefully what I said helps. Sleep, protein, and cardio are the three essential accessories to the gym. Good luck and know that you are far from a plateau.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Having a problem with a co-worker at my job, how should i deal? Kinda long.. any info appreciated.?</strong><br />
 <i>Ok i have worked at my job for just over 3 years, i love my job and 90% of my co-workers are awesome people who i love to be around. But there&#8217;s this one woman who is getting less and less tolerable as the years go by. When i started working there in 2006 i noticed as the holidays approached she would get sad, depressed, and distant. Trying to be a good friend i inquired as to what had her so down.  learned one of her kids had passed away the year before on the 31st of Dec and it was devastating for her. It was a Heath Ledger type deal where they simply found him dead in a hotel room. He was 24 or 25 yrs old. Well the first couple years i knew her i always excused her sad, mopey behavior because i understand there&#8217;s no statue of limitations on grief and it is hard. I myself have lost family that was close and i went thru depression, suicide all that and i went to counseling got help and i am better now thanks to all that. This woman is starting to wear out her welcome so to speak.<br />
  This year will be almost 5 years since her son died and she&#8217;s getting worse each year. She refuses to allow us to listen to x-mas music at work for the holidays because it makes her too sad to be a functional employee. She refuses to get grief counseling or get on anti-depressants because she says they won&#8217;t help. She talks about hiding in her closet and wanting to die because she&#8217;s so sad. She tells any one else with a problem or issue that their stuff isn&#8217;t as sad or depressing as hers and she downplays anyone Else&#8217;s grief as not being as bad as hers because people don&#8217;t understand what it&#8217;s like to lose a child.  She went so far as to tell me when i lost my grandfather to cancer that it wasn&#8217;t a big deal and that you expect your grandparents to die before you so it&#8217;s not traumatic. Even though i spent 1 year in a deep depression and tried committing suicide over it it&#8217;s still not as sad and terrible as her son dying. I&#8217;m getting fed up with this woman, i have tried helping her, we have all suggested finding a counselor for her and she refuses. She claims she tried a counselor for 1 session and she didn&#8217;t like what they had to tell her so she left and never went back. Now management also agrees this woman is a Debbie Downer of sorts but no one says anything to her about it. She is 6 years from retirement and i think that has a lot to do with it. I don&#8217;t want to have to spend the next 6 years walking on eggshells 365 days a year for this woman. I understand grief is hard but shouldn&#8217;t you start to recover at some point? The other thing that is irritating is that we work in health care and have to watch training videos throughout the year. Last year we had to watch a MRSA video and the CEO of our hospital was in the video because her son had passed away from MRSA. For 30 minutes of the video the CEO talks about how her son died and she wants to educate people so they dont go thru what she did. This co-worker of mine was exempt from the watching the video because it was to upsetting and she refused. She didnt even try to watch it she just heard what was in it and freaked out.  How can i handle this women? I care about her and she&#8217;s a sweetheart but every winter for about 3 months she is inconsolable and intolerable. They rest of the time she&#8217;s better but you still have to watch what you do and say. </p>
<p>PS: i&#8217;m putting this in womens health because she&#8217;s a girl and it is a health issue. I didn&#8217;t see a grief section and i think i&#8217;ll get better answers in this section because more people come here. Thanks everyone.<br />

<p><i>Suggestion by essentiallysolo</i><br/>this is hard, mostly because this woman really doesn&#8217;t want to get better, she is using her depression and sadness to manipulate everyone and everything around her.  I am surprised her boss hasn&#8217;t done something about it yet.  When I was that depressed, my boss told me keeping my job had become dependent on getting counseling and medications, so I went.  It was the best favor my boss ever did me.</p>

There  is a group that does really fast grief resolution.   Had I not had it done myself, I wouldn&#8217;t have believed it possible.  Telos Center dot com.  However, what you can do is different &#8211;  you&#8217;ve already done the listening, being sympathetic, compassion, what you can do now is just ask her when she starts: &#8216;do you want to continue to feel this way?&#8217;  if she says no, give  her the website, don&#8217;t explain any of it.  If she says yes, tell her &#8216;that&#8217;s ok if that&#8217;s what you want.&#8217; and walk away.</p>
<p>It is hard to watch someone go through unnecessary suffering, but it seems like she likes where she is.</p>

<p>So, here&#8217;s what my boyfriend does sometimes. Alternate between fast and slow flicks of the tongue and hard and soft pressure. Include the lips (hers, as in the labia) by lightly tracing them with your tongue before going for the clitoris. Sometimes a gentle sucking on the clitoris is good, sometimes it doesn&#8217;t do anything special. Once she&#8217;s all wet, you can put a finger or two inside her and rub her g spot while you lick the clitoris. That&#8217;s likely to put her over the edge but it varies for every girl. Experiment and ask her what she liked, didn&#8217;t like, etc.</p>

There are more folds of skin that bacteria can get caught up in that can lead to yeast infections and what not.  I hadn&#8217;t heard about the cervical cancer issue or becoming infertile.  Since most cervical cancer is a result of HPV it wouldn&#8217;t matter if you were circumcised or not.</p>
<p>As for how it feels, it&#8217;s not all that different.</p>

She bled clear down her legs.I helped her clean up but she is so embarrased and feels lousy.My 18 year old never bled this heavy.Is it normal to bleed so much on her second period?Her 1st one was in November 2006,and this is her second one.Any information would be helpful.I have been washing clothes all weekend.<br />

Maybe putting her on the pill will slow it down and shorten it. It doesn&#8217;t sound normal at all for it to be so heavy, especially because she is so young. A friend of mine while growing up used to get heavy periods like that twice a month! She went on the pill and it was much better for her. (as a side note, she had endometriosis)<br />

They wont be massive results, but your see them. Just remember to rest. Do a huge power work out on one day then the next day rest, make sure you ache! If you still ache the next day after your rest day, then rest again.</p>

<p><i>Suggestion by cali luv</i><br/>you&#8217;ve got a long way to lose a reasonable amount of weight in a healthy fashion. seriously doing small changes can make a difference in the long run. i know it sounds cliché but these are some tips that really do work. at least for me</p>
<p>drinking water</p>
<p>taking the stairs instead of the elevator/walking instead of driving [when possible]</p>
<p>eating breakfast [even if its just fruit and a glass of milk, any natural sugar and protein in the morning helps give you energy throughout the day]</p>
<p>eating small meals [about 300 calories each. the biggest mistake people make is not eat all day and then go home and have one big meal. this is how sumo wrestlers gain weight, they eat once a dar. if you eat smaller meals through out the day, your body has time to digest it better]</p>
<p>taking time to eat [time yourself. you'll be surprised at how quickly you eat. just give yourself time, at least 10-15 minutes to sit down, chew your food thoroughly and just enjoy your meal]</p>
<p>watch your carbs and fat [it isnt vital to avoid these but it is helpful to eat the right kind. for example whole grain bread rather than white. or fat from avocado and salmon rather than from red meat or fried foods]</p>
<p>these are a few small things you can do that you dont even have to think about and can become good habits. they aren&#8217;t stressful and you can start by doing whichever are easiest for you, you don&#8217;t have to jump into them right away. if your stomach and thighs are your trouble spots then they&#8217;re usually the first spots you notice a difference in. good luck!</p>

<p><i>Suggestion by snakesrule123</i><br/>Exercise and eat right. That&#8217;s all you need to do, really. Alot of running, sit-ups etc. that work on your stomach area.</p>

The best thing to stay fit and healthy is to change your lifestyle. This means eating a balanced diet of all the major food groups and eating nutritious foods. </p>
<p>Also exercising is important. Joining a fun, new sports team or going walking everyday will help your endurance levels and help you build up muscle strength.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t have to starve yourself and obsessively over exercise to be healthy because that isn&#8217;t good for you at all. What is most important, is to get the balance right so that you are feeling good about yourself, taking care of your body and still have plenty of time for all the fun life has on offer.</p>

and dont eat fried foods i guarantee that you will lose weight<br />
as a sixth grader i weighed 165 lbs and summer between 6th and 7th i dropped to 130lbs.  i ate none of the above and ran 1-2 miles a day.  a 7inch growth spirt helped out too.</p>
