Adult fitness boot camp survey question?
if you were going to go on one of these fitness bootcamps (drop a stone in a week) would you mind staying in a very basic accomodation for the week or would you rather a luxury barn/hotel room?? and please note: that the price will be much cheaper in the basic accomodation. (average hotel acc is £1200 for the week camp) but the tutition and results in the basic acc is great, ex military and u WILL get good results!! would u mind the basic lodge (bunk beds/shared rooms etc) or would it simply put you off and your look for a 4/5* place
please say your sex and age aswell.
Suggestion by Pandora
basic accommodation would be fine for me.
Suggestion by Frankie
I’ll be there to get in shape, not for a spa. As long as the information, meals, and exercise program was the same in both, I’d do the basic accommodations. I travel pretty basic anyway. Plus, I think it would help participants to bond better that way.
Suggestion by Tia Harceg
it depends on the clientele you want to attract. most individuals are wise with their money and would stay wherever is cheap and clean. if you are looking to make it a luxury retreat, go big.

Does marine boot camp help you pass the physical fitness test?
Im having problems with the running part. I can’t run 3 miles in 28 mins. Does marine boot camp help with this?
Suggestion by TedEx
Oh, yes! A Marine DI, with fire coming out of his nostrils and a voice that would rival the PA system at Yankee Stadium will be shouting encouragement to you every inch of the way.
Suggestion by Oni Hall
Yes Marine boot camp will definetly help with that but you don’t really need to worry about running 3 miles in 28mins just be able to run 1.5 miles in under 13 mins.
Suggestion by ArmyGuy
You and your DI will become close and personal if he spots you having problems in PT

Navy SEALS boot camp fitness requirements?
i was wondering what the fitness requirements were to become a navy seal
Suggestion by phantom
Navy Seals must first become sailor before they become Seals. They go through the same boot camp that all the other sailors go to; however, the Seals have a program that picks up at the beginning of boot camp to give them the extra push that regular boot camp does not provide. More swimming, exercise and stuff like that. Once they graduate boot camp they go on to follow on training… such as Basic Underwater Demolitions School (BUDS).

Seal physical fitness requirements are tough! Check this link out:

On paper it sounds easy but try out a couple yourself first to gauge your stamina and then train for it.
Suggestion by Nick G.
The initial PST requirements are weak. Like someone else stated, you will be put into a SpecWar division of boot camp which will include more PT/dive motivator sessions. After this you will attend BUD/S Prep which could last 4-12 weeks depending on your fitness level.
The link below is has the minimum standards as well as the competitive/recommended standards. It has been advised that you should be able to achieve the competitive standards easily, before you even show up to boot camp.

dude, i hate to burst you bubble, but no matter what a recruiter tells you, you won’t be a Seal.
Yes, but I would strongly encourage you to be able to pass the IST (Initial Strength Test) with ease before shipping out to boot camp.
If you cannot pass it, you will go to Physical Conditioning Platoon and not be allowed to go through regular training until you can pass the IST. You do not want to spend anymore time at Boot Camp than you have to.
The design of boot camp is to get you able to pass a PFT and all other requirements. No matter how bad of a runner you are, they will motivate you (through yelling) and if your so bad, they will put you in a program before you start the actual boot camp schedule that will get you in shape. If there is a way to get a recruit up to standards, boot camp has found it.
